Framing and Composition

Composition is as important in movies as it is in still photos. Ensure the background of your shot is chosen carefully, a good background should be neutral or should compliment the video subject; it should not overwhelm it or distract from it. Avoid background clutter and objects that could merge with your subject to create distracting effects—such as a tree that appears to ‘grow’ out of a person’s head, or people waving and jumping around trying to get on camera
The theory is that if you place points of interest in the intersections or along the lines that your photo becomes more balanced and will enable a viewer of the image to interact with it more naturally. Studies have shown that when viewing images that people’s eyes usually go to one of the intersection points most naturally rather than the center of the shot – using the rule of thirds works with this natural way of viewing an image rather than working against it.

Inspirational Music Video
I find this music video very intriguing due to the way the sketches and photos have been combined with the reality of the music video. The main part i really like is when the artist Example is left in the 'reality' shot whereas the lorry and buildings around him are in the 'sketch' edit.

Voyeurism
Voyeurism is an idea that comes from the psychoanalytical theories of Sigmund Freud. It is the motion of looking where viewers (the voyeur) are granted an intimate interaction with a subject group or individual.
Many men would be called "peeping toms" and classed as voyeurs due to things such as:
However women would be classed as voyeurs due to things such as:

Story Boarding
Last year when making our film, we originally planned to do a different film to the one we ended up filming and having as our final piece. For this idea, we storyboarded each scene we were going to film and included every shot we were going to take, to then find out we would not be using this anymore. So, for our final piece we had already had a good idea on how to storyboard and what to storyboard, therefore giving us more experience on what to do in this one. We made sure we included each shot we would use and the location we would shoot it in which helped us dramatically as when we came to film, we were not stuck on what to film or where to go when filming it and we did not get stuck and waste time.
